Honveer Singh Randhawa
Elect for Mayor of Surrey
Honveer Singh Randhawa graduated from Queen Elizabeth Secondary School in Surrey, earned a nursing degree and a law degree at the University of Manitoba, articled in Saskatchewan, and was called to the BC Bar in 2015. He came home to Surrey and founded Randhawa Law Centre, where he has served individuals, families, and businesses for over a decade. In 2024 he ran as the Conservative Party of BC candidate for Surrey-Guildford.
He is not a career politician. He is a Surrey resident who got tired of watching city hall fail the people around him and decided to do something about it. His campaign is built on safer streets, lower taxes, and transparent government that puts families first.

Calvin Vanderploeg
Elect for Council
Calvin James VanderPloeg was born on June 7, 1966 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Raised in a Christian home, he remains active in his local church, guided by the values of faith, family, and service. Since moving to British Columbia in 1987, Calvin has called the City of Surrey home for the past 25 years.
A tradesperson by profession, Calvin has spent nearly four decades building and managing businesses in the construction and hospitality industries. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with homeowners, entrepreneurs, tradespeople, engineers, architects, and all levels of government, giving him a practical understanding of how collaboration and sound decision-making strengthen communities.
Calvin has been married to his wife Adeline for 35 years. Together, they have raised seven children and are proud grandparents of four. His family roots run deep in Surrey, and the values of faith, hard work, and accountability shape everything he does.
Over the years, Calvin has volunteered on numerous political campaigns, gaining firsthand experience in public service and grassroots community engagement. He is now honoured to seek the opportunity to represent the citizens of Surrey, bringing common-sense leadership, fiscal responsibility, accountability, and practical real-world experience to municipal government.
Ricky (Navdeep) Bajwa
Elect for Council
Ricky Bajwa is a dedicated community leader and proud resident of Surrey, where he has lived for over 16 years. A family man with a wife and two children, Ricky understands the values and challenges that matter most to local families.
With over a decade of experience in the automotive industry and currently working as a longshoreman, Ricky brings strong work ethic, real-world experience, and a practical perspective to community issues.
Ricky is an active contributor to the community, serving as a Director of the non-profit Jeeway Punjab Adabi Sangat Foundation, where he supports cultural and community initiatives. He is also an international-level badminton player and a certified badminton coach in British Columbia, passionately promoting youth development and healthy living through sports.
Deeply committed to public service, Ricky actively participates in community events and is politically engaged with both federal and provincial Conservative parties. He is dedicated to building a safer, stronger, and more connected Surrey for all residents.
Donna Wu
Elect for Council
Donna Wu has lived in Surrey for over 26 years. In her beautiful hometown of Surrey, she worked in a factory, attended university, and raised two outstanding children. As a local real estate sales expert, community volunteer, and parent, she understands the everyday challenges facing local families.
Over the years, Donna Wu has worked closely with residents, small businesses, and community organizations to support safer neighbourhoods and stronger community connections. Professionally, she brings experience in management, budgeting, and community leadership. She believes city government should be transparent, financially responsible, and focused on practical solutions that improve residents' quality of life.
Donna is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers at the local food bank and Fraser Health, has been a School PAC member for many years, and serves as Executive Vice President of a local Chinese community society. She is a community safety advocate and organizer of neighbourhood events who has championed youth programs throughout Surrey. In one of her most impactful initiatives, she organized more than 200 households into daily neighbourhood safety patrols, dividing residents into over 20 groups to watch over Surrey's streets together.
Donna Wu lives in Surrey with her family and remains committed to building a safer, stronger, and more united community. Her priorities are public safety, responsible development, affordable living, and transparent management.
Dan B. Carlos
Elect for Council
Dan Carlos is a Filipino-Canadian community leader who has proudly called Surrey his home for 30 years, building strong relationships across many cultural backgrounds. His commitment to service is rooted in his faith, and he continues to share his passion for ministry by preaching, mentoring, and leading small groups in churches and community gatherings throughout Surrey.
Professionally, Dan has served as a licensed driving instructor for three decades, helping hundreds of residents become safe and responsible drivers. He is also a graduate of the Mental Health Course at Douglas College and has worked as an outreach and support worker, connecting with a wide range of people across diverse circumstances and backgrounds.
While Dan has deep ties with the Filipino community, his influence extends across many ethnic groups in Surrey. He continues to be passionate about community building, mentorship, and faith-based leadership. His three decades of experience working with diverse communities allow him to bridge cultural divides and help bring Surrey's many voices together.
Harkirat Singh Sidhu

Harkirat Singh Sidhu steps forward with a vision for a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Surrey. With deep community involvement and a strong connection to the city he calls home, Harkirat is committed to listening to residents, responding to their concerns, and turning ideas into meaningful action.
For Harkirat, public service is not about holding a title, it is about being present, listening to residents, and understanding the challenges facing families, youth, seniors, and businesses. A B.Tech graduate and Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), he brings professional experience together with a strong commitment to community service. Through his involvement with the Spreading Hope Society, blood donation initiatives, and cultural activities, he has built connections with people and families from diverse backgrounds. He also supports initiatives that recognize the artists who help keep cultural traditions alive and use art and culture to connect communities.
Community safety is one of Harkirat's top priorities. He believes families, children, and seniors deserve to feel safe in their neighbourhoods, and he supports greater attention to crime prevention and community safety so students and young people can learn, grow, and thrive. He also believes Surrey's youth deserve meaningful opportunities to build successful futures, and supports stronger pathways through education, skills development, mentorship, and community programs.
A strong community needs a strong local economy. Harkirat wants to support an environment where local businesses and entrepreneurs can succeed, create jobs, and continue contributing to Surrey's economic growth. He also believes residents deserve responsible management of public funds and accountability from their elected representatives, and supports careful municipal spending while maintaining the essential services families and communities depend on.
For Harkirat, leadership starts with listening, is strengthened by service, and measured by action. He is committed to bringing a practical, community-focused approach to Council, one that begins with listening, understands residents' concerns, and turns those concerns into meaningful action.
Mehnaz Javed

Good governance begins with active listening. For Mehnaz Javed, municipal leadership is an extension of years spent serving neighbours at the ground level.
“Surrey is one of the most vibrant, diverse, and fast-growing cities in Canada,” says Mehnaz. “With that growth comes an obligation to make sure no resident gets left behind. Whether it's helping a newcomer find their first job, supporting a senior in accessing community services, or ensuring our neighbourhoods remain safe for raising families, my work has always been about building strong connections.”
Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree and serving as Vice President of the Pakistani Canadian Cultural Association BC, Mehnaz has demonstrated how cultural understanding and civic engagement work hand-in-hand. Her platform balances progressive social inclusion with practical, fiscally responsible management at City Hall.
As Surrey voters prepare for the upcoming civic election, Mehnaz brings a clear message: a stronger Surrey is built on safe streets, thriving local businesses, empowered youth, and a municipal government that works for everyone.
Manu Sharma
Elect for Council
Manu Sharma holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and brings a strong combination of education, entrepreneurial experience, professional expertise, and community leadership. Raised in an entrepreneurial environment, he developed an understanding of business from an early age and, at 22, joined his father's publishing business, where he played an active role in helping expand the enterprise. This experience gave him firsthand knowledge of the opportunities and challenges faced by business owners and strengthened his skills in leadership, decision-making, relationship building, and problem-solving.
As an experienced immigration consultant, Manu has successfully assisted more than 500 clients, helping individuals and families navigate complex immigration processes and pursue new opportunities. Through this work, he has developed strong communication and advocacy skills and gained a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of families, newcomers, entrepreneurs, and local businesses. Beyond his professional career, he is a dedicated and active member of the community, consistently supporting Patel Samaj initiatives and events, and believes that strong communities are built through service, collaboration, inclusion, and active participation.
Manu is a businessman, immigration consultant, and active community member with a strong commitment to serving people and contributing to Surrey's continued growth and success. His professional journey has given him the opportunity to work closely with individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and business owners from diverse backgrounds, allowing him to understand firsthand the opportunities and challenges people face as they build their lives and businesses. He believes Surrey has tremendous potential, and wants to help build a city where families feel safe and supported, local businesses can thrive, young people have meaningful opportunities, newcomers can successfully build their futures, and every resident feels heard and valued.

Cordell Pullar
Elect for Council
Cordell Pullar was born on July 23, 1965 in London, England, to Jamaican parents. Growing up, she regularly visited her mother at the care home where she worked as a nurse, and watching her mother care for seniors with patience, dignity, compassion, and respect inspired Cordell's own passion for working with seniors and caregivers.
In 1975, Cordell moved to Winnipeg, Canada with her parents and siblings. She attended Brandon University to study psychology before moving into senior care, gaining hands-on experience in the industry while also beginning her singing career.
In 1990, Cordell met her husband Wayne, a musician in Winnipeg's Afro-Caribbean community. Together they moved to British Columbia, where they continue to embrace their multicultural roots. Cordell and her husband share two children and recently welcomed their first grandchild.
Cordell returned to work in senior care and hospice in 2001 after a brief period in hospitality, and has continued in the industry ever since. Her compassionate leadership is grounded in years of service working with cultural organizations, seniors' groups, and local partners to improve community wellbeing, and her focus on people-centered care drives her advocacy for better healthcare infrastructure, improved senior services, and policies that prioritize dignity, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.
Alongside her care work, Cordell has run her own business hosting and managing community events. She has served as a trustee for the Canadian Seniors Association, currently sits on the advisory board of the Caregiver Strong Institute, and is a two-time West Coast Caribbean Music Association award winner. She is also working toward her master's degree in health and social care.
Cordell's commitment is simple: listen with compassion, lead with purpose, and turn people's needs into action.
